Yeah you are right, it is just society thinks that cartoons are for kids or that you'll grow out of it eventually. I don't think I can ever grow out of anime

You're never too old! My hubby is 39 and he watches more anime than I do!

Both anime and manga aim to cater for everyone so definitely okay to be not be a kid and like either. They clearly don't know what they're missing.

When I first started going on forums (2002) my perceived average age was quite low. 15-19. It seems to have risen sharply over time.

Mainly due to the fact that the people who use forums back then still do. The younger lot are less likely to.
