BM is fine in PvP.
Not the best but if you want to win all your 1v1s you'd have to be WW monk / DH / Frost DK.

In PvP gear is normalised.
You can pretty much go in straight from cap and you're in with a fair shot. There's only 3 tiers to the gear I believe because it uses a template. Or something.
