Is this like an illustrated roleplay?

So I've decided to challenge myself to 1 digital painting (DP) a day (or at least a week). Not sure how long I'll last but I figured it would be good practice nevertheless.

So here's DP #1! Click the thumbnail to be taken to the larger image.

such lovely drawings! The first one was a bit difficult to work out at first, but it's a shoulder, yes? You can see they're turning to look behind them. Very nice and looks proportional, from what I can see.

The second, the old man with the bushy eyebrow, the oval of his iris and the lines on his face, wonderful work!

Thanks for sharing!

What were you suppose to draw today? Good work with the face and hair, I like the shading on the cheek. But what's that white thing in her hair, like a sea anemone? Feathers?

It was supposed to be a headdress. I cap my daily D.P.'s at 1 hr, so if I don't finish within an hour I just leave it. if you click on the img, it'll take you to the original and in the comments you can see the link to the reference I used.

Reflection, light and shadow, eh? Very nice! I like the twin shadows, suggesting two light sources and the reflection of posts, like for a railing or banister in the green mirrored glass of your ornament. The twisting of the reflection for the paper suggests very nicely the paper it's sitting on, giving the ball the illusion of depth. Very well done!

Been a while since I've drawn anything but here is my trial run after a long break from art.
