BBC apologises for not editing out racial slur on BAFTAs

Apparently the person who used the racial slur has Tourette's, so they can't actually help what they're saying, however, there's been calls on social media for them to apologise for their actions at this year BAFTAs, why should they apologise for something they can't help?

Thoughts?
