i kinda sing
not super well, but passable, imo
had been playing in a rock-focused cover band for awhile but then our rhythm guitarist committed suicide right before the pandemic hit and we haven't really had the oomph to play again quite yet
Had been some talk of playing again this summer but the drummer and him went so far back he wasnt sure if he could do it without and we didnt wanna pressure him

Damn. I'm not sure if want to either. All the memories it would bring. But I guess for the same reason, I would wanna do it.

Have the same reason to do it and to not
But I also miss my friend dearly but not nearly as much as our drummer
To be honest, I called them my "band dads" because of the age gap (they arent actually as old as my parents, but close enough)
So I may have spent like 5-6 years with him getting close
But they spent like 50 years with the guy, so i cannot imagine the pain they all went through

Listened to the song ya linked. I don't know if it will be stuck in my head each time I read my ALJ title but I do see how it might happen to you

One of the cats is having issues again
Poor Eevee is the sweetest but she has so many issues
Luckily, none of them seem to be giving her pain so her quality of life is still good
Theyre more just a pain in my ass because of vet bills and cleaning problems
Attempting a new layout to see if it helps her
If not, off to the vet again to see if its medical and not just old cats things

Been working on restarting my exercise plan
Its so hard to restart
I loathe working out, but need to

Got an award from a coworker, came with 50 points
I am now only 41 points away from the special robovac
Yessssss
Also, first award I got under the Accountability umbrella
The other 7 this year have been all under the Collaboration one
Would still like management to answer me about my requested raise
But a small award to help me reach robovac goal is nice
Too bad it was from our AMS section and not internally from my Space & Sea section
Theyre too busy being pains lol

i am not sure if i can get any of the three cats to do that but i will for sure try

Shes pretty mellow

Eevee has been given her own space, so that if/when she has accidents its easier to find and clean

Currently just watching
Vet gave me a list of other symptoms to looks for and if she develops any of those then call the emergency vet
Otherwise, just gotta wait for a normal appointment in like 2 weeks

Shes doing about the same, no change

Had second appointment for my tooth/jaw thing
It's healing at a good rate
Should go back for final surgery bit in October

Concert with mom at Fenway Monday night
Should be fun, Pink puts on a good show

Been very tired recently with all this rain
Might help me sleep more regularly!

Had to hold my tongue a bit on here

Gotta do a lot of cleaning today
BF is having friend round tomorrow and friend has mega allergies
Should maybe try and at least vacuum up some of the corgi and cat glitter

My sister grew up loving The Wizard of Oz and wished we had tornados.

sadly (mostly for me) i tend to cheer for the philly teams
mostly because i was indoctrinated to cheer for them when i was little and now i cannot stop
but also on some rare occasions they do okay and then RIOTS

i never wished for tornados
do not want any to return
my favorite was the warning sent out that listed actions
and one was like "if you hear the tornado alarms, go inside"
but like
CT doesnt have those guys
i believe we only had those in the more westerly states from here
but yes, too close for comfort
not a normal occurrence in the NE
normally its just the hurricanes and the snow and the heat waves
new weather issue unlocked?
