Hiya minna! I'm moving from Surrey (close to London) to Somerset, near Bridgwater. ... and the closer AL-con I'll be having near will be, Cardiff, and Exeter, I've read above (if they're still coming next 2026 ...)

Helpfully, see\meet? someone from the AL Forums at any of them. :<3: :smoke:

Cheers!

Bristol would be close too! Would be great to see you there :D

Hi there! Can I ask where you saw that? The website is a discounted price otherwise it'll be slightly higher if you pay on the door :)

Does anyone know the prices for food and drink at the Mercure, I Googled their website (St Paul's in Sheffield) and it doesn't say, also, no wonder I don't rate the venue, the reviews of the Hotel itself aren't the kindest.
I don't beee-lieve it!

I don't expect food in their public restaurant to be cheap, but the hotel is literally surrounded by a variety of food and drink outlets.

Greggs, Nero's, Costa, Starbucks, Head of Steam, the Brown Bear, Pizza Express, Cosmo, Bella Italia and Browns are all around the Peace Gardens/Tudor Square.

A short walk away in Orchard Square is Sheffield Plate (Food Hall), The Museum (Pub), Proove Pizza and another Costa.

Not far away is The Cambridge Street Collective (Food Hall), The Botanist (Charter Square). Wagamama, Pho, Zizzi and Cubana Tapas are in Leopold Square, and The Bessemer (Leopold St).

Umpteen pubs that serve food, including 2 Weatherspoons (The Waterworks and The Benjamin Huntsman) and Yates. Ask Italia is between Yates and the Benjamin Huntsman.

Also in Barker's Pool you've got Cosy Club, Turtle Bay, The Four Leaf and The Slug & Lettuce

On Division Street there are umpteen coffee bars and takeaways including Fried Chicken, Let's Sushi, Rudy's Pizza, Insomnia Cookies, 200 Degrees Coffee, La Croissanteria, Chai Bubble Tea, and more.

Scattered all through the area are Chinese, Korean and Indian takeaway's/restaurants.

Of course, you could always get Uber/Just eat/Deliveroo to deliver a MaccieD's or Wendy's to the Hotel, but describe you costume or somebody else will grab it.

I bet you wish you hadn't asked now.

I'd be going to the City Hall after, so the Benjamin Huntsman, top of Cambridge St would be good, it's a Wetherspoons so the grub's quality and super cheap.
