I'm not going till next month, so got a little while yet. Gonna see my grandmother missed seeing her earlier this year.

my current one is being fixed but if it has one more issue this year, it will have cost me the same in maint as a new car would in car payments

Yeah then it's better to get a new one even though that's as much as a pain as well. My mom had to do. Not to me tion the car parts were not being made anymore so you had too look around places getting to expensive.

but, to be fair, i make really good money

i just hate spending it because of previous financial trauma making me panic anytime i plan to spend more than $100 and i still have other debts i wanted to clear first (like student loans)

ultimately, i am now very fortunate that even if i do go new car route, i can afford it without much stress on budget

which is nice, but also something i am still coming to terms with considering the circumstances i grew up in, where food and shelter were never a guaranteed thing

for the car bit, i am trying to help my brain deal with its dumb feelings of guilt at the thought of spending that money (instead of hoarding it for the emergencies it screams at me that must be coming) by actually looking into what i might like/want for a car

previously, its been mostly whatever i can get i will drive. now i am trying to inject some enthusiasm. i am also thinking about getting pre-qualified so i can avoid the huge potentially triggering event that would be dealing with the car salesman/talking to finance people in person. Much better to try and do that part online so i can curl into a blanket ball if need be hahahaha

Got my final costume pieces
Was a bit hard to come up with alice in wonderland inspired 60's mod styled clothes in primarily black with white and red highlights but i did my best
My wig is a bit meh tho, gotta give her some good steaming and maybe a new dusting of powder to deshine her a bit
