However, I just Googled it and it's only for non active accounts that haven't been logged into for at least 2 years.

So I wouldn't worry too much, Gmail is my main email account which I log into several times a day, 7 days a week.

This old Chestnut. This has been coming around every few months since last summer.

Affected users have had messages from Google to use or lose, but of course if they aren't using them at all, they won't have had the messages, so they only have themselves to blame.
