*coughs*
Well it has been a busy few months.
The last update on here I was making Alastors cane. I has stripped down a torch, resoldered and wired all to fit inside the cane head so it would light up at the touch of a button when built onto the cane.
Well that's where it stopped. Work is slowly killing me, when I'm not working I'm sorting my house out, or too tired...
Or skating.
Or going on various Holidays: Whitby twice. (1 Adults only, and 2 weeks ago with the tribe. Dear Parking warden - F*ck you with the printer that you gleefully wave around you smug *****) and Costa Adeje - Tenerife. - I still want to retire there.
In that time my OH has finally persuaded me to move in with her, so, once a fortnight, I move a little more to hers. And then spend 2 weekends plumbing and fitting a new bath and shower pipework.. I'm an electrician damn it, I harness Electrons. Not H2O!
In the meantime my faithfull Christine, my work car, died a death, my once beautiful 140bhp Insignia, is no more, DPF and Turbo at the same time, and a water leaking into the electrics killed a wiring loom, could have brought a new (2nd hand) car for the cost of repairs on something that had done 164000 mile. So I spent a few months looking for a van.
My boss then says you can use the company van, but I leave it at work at the weekends, annoying, but fair... So I'm moving 6 miles further away from the office, and the office is moving a further 4 miles still. I normally catch the bus, easy, normally outside my doorstep (about 40m), office stop is 200m away...
Office is moving to an industrial estate in the arse end of scenic nowhere. Use your 2nd car he say's, it''ll be safe.
It's a Jaguar XF, there's no way on these green and pleasant lands I'm leaving that away from me.
So, how do I get there? Cycle, I've still got my bike, she not moved in a couple of years, would benefit from a quick service. But cycling that far would take me an hour and 10 minutes over the 13 miles. So plan B, finally break a promise I made to my dearly departed Gran and mum...
I'm going for my CBT. I've put a deposit down on a new 125 already, I pick it up the day after I do my CBT. Which in all likelihood will be the last time anyone hears from me lol
So back to Alastor, I was hoping to be at Sheffield with homemade cane, homemade monocle, homemade wig and ears, and suit purchased, to be part of the family trio, Lucifer and Charlie, but time has just ran away. So I'll be reverted to type and being the heart of the Ghostbusters once more.
