Cheese and Bacon Burger and a hot chocolate in Cavell's.

I asked the waiter to remove the Salad from the burger (I'm a bit funny about that kind of thing), he didn't understand, I repeated, "can you please remove the Salad?", why is it that I speak clear English in a local accent and people seem not to understand me? Rather annoying.
