Actually I do keep all the cards my grandma gives me because I know she won't around forever and I won't be ok when she dies.

My parents, though, theirs goes straight into the trash. Not because I'll be ok when they die...because, I suppose, I'll be a different person when they do so I'm not the one that has to deal with that. Don't question my logic.

Yeah, most of the cards I send are to older people who still tend to do it as a tradition.
Friends our age group don't bother. I can understand why, but at the same time I really like receiving cards, it kinda just feels like someone has made a bit of effort to think about you at Christmas time y'know, at least in comparison to a text message which is something people send every day, although free the thought is still there. But at the same time, what do you do with them once Christmas has passed, unless they are sentimental or from someone special they usually go into the recycling box afterwards. Sadly I think cards are going to die out because it'll eventually reach the generation that don't bother.

I had my covid booster jab today, christmas treat to myself, fuck covid.
No actually, my christmas treat to myself was another JoJo nendoroid, Kakyoin arrived through the post just in time for Christmas.
I also went and bought a new jewel orchid for myself last week at the garden centre because fuck it, living life on the edge me.

I sure went on an adventure, considering I can't remember how long it's been since I was last on here!

Been pretty busy with work and just spending lots of time with friends. With how little free time I have, I just don't have any downtime to come on here

I've been pretty busy with work too, feel that's all I do these days and outside of work I'm pretty lonely cos of the pandemic but is what it is

Don't worry about being here if you've got a lot on, just wanted to see that you were doing okay

I guess we're pretty similar when it comes to work, I suppose! I just try to find the most positive things in the days and go with it.
How's the holidays been? Hope you at least got to see the family by then!

Definitely! Gotta stay positive.

Holidays were kinda non existent for me unfortunately due to my work. Worked right through Christmas and new year this time so didn't really get any time off, I did see my family in mid December though which is better than nothing ^^ Did you have a good one?

We over here also worked through Christmas, it's only new year that I really got to do something. I did also go on a trip with some friends, but it was one of the worst trips I have had.
So as for new year, my friend held a house party for a small group. Had lots of fun there, brought a Tasting Collection with me for us to drink. Which is basically a case filled with a bunch of vials of whiskey.

Also one of my friends brought a VR headset with him, so I got to try that. It was HELLA scary to do the climbing game they had on there. When you fall off the cliff, it sure feels like you're ACTUALLY falling... but Beat Saber was fun! Almost makes me want to buy a VR headset myself!

Work just seems to be getting worse and worse. It's mostly my colleagues that make the days bad. I'm currently looking for a new job, so hopefully I can find one soon!
