So This Stuff I Mention Writing But Never Post

Long talked about it. May as well show my writing. It's been a while. My main influence is I write the things I'd like to see in Poetry.
Only just learned the modern way of no space breaks. If you write keep doing it. I started in 1994 intended to be a Romantic Poet.
Hi hi ha that side's dead these days!
It's mainly the Open Floors on the Wirral and Liverpool I read at. Did film a few, but can't promise audio.
Best way to start is the current. This was the last thing written last Sunday. Trouble with the police flared up on this old housing estate.
I was round the corner oblivious. I normally write and finish them as fast as I have the idea.
This one took two days. I'll take pictures of how it looks written, as there's order numbers written alongside with the lines crossed out rejected.
Long preamble, yes, they'll get shorter, but naturally this is not representative of the stuff I've written before.
I have a friend settled in the country originally from Bangladesh and I have had two small run books that he at least paid for.
I know, look into getting published elsewhere and with bigger reach!
Imagine this thread by Christmas?
Happy reading!

DOORSTEP AND JUST FIRST WEEKEND

They used to joke of making stool
In emergency Police helmet if caught short
The humiliation now other tables
But handheld completes the full statement
Restraint the knee on neck
Not learnt a thing
Intent to save from death by youths own hand
Their rescue crew against uniform wall
Picked off by re-enforcements and controlled
The spraying which linked to a planet
How they joked and must have diminished
Months ago how they should be complicit
By staying out from it
This causes last to see pictured
If you know the roads
What magick bought cars to incident?
"Bareback passenger target delivery
Jump on ride off a plot of villainy."
Everyone meet agree on Sunday
Who in the wrong but response
Bigger controversy
The confusion hard locked now again shut
Brief of wheel a helmet that looks blooded
Pounding skywards rotating specialist blades
Surrounding diamonds protesting the arresting pains
For clues I don't know why
They did it
Without pointing random obvious limits
Back onside now a task Herculean
More or less on doorstep
And it was only the first of the weekend
No guns but still a window into
An ethos regimented unbeknownst full truth
By staying out it's cast if not troupe
No idea what happened consequences
Or how it passed and cooled
It's quiet now but there's no sleeping
Off Duty see them at Bus Stops
In Unit controlling the angry knocked
Scared and inflamed represented betrayed
To answer question "What is going on?"
Consolation for the victim
Brings forward a world
In which this doesn't happen
Resilience no excuses for answers
What generation understands they were
Only pawns and the game was really named
"Testing Ground"?
Step back further just abandoned contestants
Left to survive on hospitality suppressants.

As someone who used to write poetry quite frequently, I can really appreciate this! Sounds quite eye opening really, where did the inspiration come from if you don't mind me asking? Was this something you actually witnessed, or was that just what the poem is about? :)

I was a couple of streets away. I saw and heard the Police helicopter circling overhead but had no idea what was happening.
Later that night a video of an arrest with reinforcements, stuff sprayed, woman pushed by an officer after begging to hold her son who was being restrained to calm him down.
I saw the video and thought "This is why I keep to myself around here...".
But felt I had to document it. Took two days to write. Normally it's just in and done! Thanks for reading. More stuff coming.

My accent might be hard to understand (......) so here's the main text. It isn't five minutes long. That's just what else happened.
Also... I do change my sheets often. Just a joke I had to include.

THE PUPPET UNDER YOUR PILLOW IS ALWAYS WANTING REVENGE

Mischievous!
Those nights without sleep
Underneath my pillow
Your puppet
So that's what caused
My dreams
Intense and brief
From my hidden beneath
To forget if unlucky
The puppet underneath that lurks
As I enjoy the warmth
It whispers insecurity
As I drift away to unconscious
It screams of unlocked doors
As I turn as it hurts
To sleep on a certain side
The puppet under the pillow
Whispers "I'm going to die..."
How often do I change the sheets?
It takes advantage of the fact
And lies there in anger
No bones yet still intelligent
To make underestimations of its sentence
So when morning dressed onto breakfast
The voice of the puppet makes head turn back
The unsettling that I heard something
Undetected
Influencing
Words spelled wrongOr blocking the words to come

"And should I die before I sleep..."
Check my body for marks of teeth
"But should I die before I wake..."
The puppet under pillow
The culprit blame
"Should I wake before I die..."
My face reflected
In small puppet eyes
And you all thought
I had disposed?
Well I did!!! But in darkness
Over miles in all weathers
The puppet crawled back
Under my pillow
Undetected
Plotting a revenge to be enacted
So that's why my eyes wide
When moonlight disturbs on my face.

It's that shadow in the corner of your eye, but whenever you look it's not there.
