I used normal mainly and struggled in some fights, but hard mode is ridiculous when I did try it

The remake has definitely gone above and beyond any expectation I had for it. I played the original FF& when I was 11/12 and our parents bought my sister and I our PS1 as a 'moving home settling in gift' The remake has added so much character and depth to the original game, it's really come to life and I feel so much more connected to the World of Midgar and Shinra. Definitely a very happy man and very much looking forward to part 2 ;)

I have a level 80 blackmage though my first 80 was Summoner and White Mage, I'm working on my tank now and probably an archer.

Seems everyone is ahead of me. I’m on Chapter 9. I believe I’m fairly close to chapter 10.

The game is richer than the original. A lot was added. But it seems to me that it’s barely long enough to be called a full game.

The key is to focus on abilities rather than magic. Keep your mana high for casting raise and utilising chakra and pray when possible.

I imagine it's all about utilizing abilities, magic, weapons, armor, accessories, and materia to their best potential against each enemy.

You have to be careful with how much magic you use, since mp can only be recovered by completing the chapter, smashing shinra crates or completing side quests (I think)

And you can't use items at all
