I have run into an engineering problem.
This garage floor is not flat.
All of the weight of the bed is resting on this front skin, and if I stood in the middle of that edge the front skin would crack and all that work I did yesterday to make that piece would be moot.
It's not going to sit in this garage, granted--but what if my room isn't flat?
If this isn't an issue, great--but if it is, I might need to cut up this piece a bit so that it can safely bend. I didn't think of that when designing this.
Bendy won't work nice with drawers, I bet. Drawers are finicky. But I will figure it out.
Hmm but whether to just cut it up now preemptively.
I think I will before I sand it, but it doesn't need it right now. I'll just take the middle screws out and let the bed curve independent of this panel. All I need right now are the ends secured so that I can put on the posts, after all.
