I wanted to like this sooo much, the background art is beautiful, the noir-y-ness (that's the technical term) is wonderful, but I just cannot get past the MC's design. I'm sorry, there is no other way to say it: I think he looks stupid. The story seems good too, but 3 episodes in and I just can't do it any more. It just hurts my eyes to look at him.

I wish Anne lived. I have less hopes for Ende being an interesting character.
But this isn't an anime that seems to play along with expectations, either.

Then again I wouldn't get the OP and ED. They are very nice. They fit this show very well. I especially like the ED.

I LOVE Mary voice acting. It reminds me of Haruko Haruhara from FLCL, but I've checked and they're voiced by different VAs. But I think they use the same style.

Haruko is voiced by Mayumi Shintani and Mary by Manami Numakura.
