Re: Writing Debate on dragons
I'm rather partial to Barbara Hambly's Dragonbane - a Northern lord and his lover (a witch) travels down to the Capital after a dragon winds up invading the Dwarven caves next door, and it's becoming a problem. Except it's not the dragon itself that's the problem. But the dragon does explain its love of gold - and makes a very interesting offer to the witch.

I'd say Anne McCaffrey and her dragonriders of pern I've read all of her books and I know her son and daughter have written as well.

Who wouldn't want teleporting dragons? Although I think I'd irritate the farmers when my dragon gets hungry.
Maybe a fire lizard?
