So..since the release of Pokemon Let’s Go, I thought it’d be appropriate to draw something in relation.

So...Champions anyone?

Wow this is really good! I'm really jealous how accurately you can draw, and the different shades create a really good effect without requiring any colour, awesome job!

Thank you! Yeah surprisingly I shaded the background dark, then smudged it accidentally wih a tissue - and realised it if I did it over the whole picture it did most of the work is shading for me. So a bonus!

blending works really well with tissues, semi-well with fingers, and best with blending stumps/tortillions

Yeah I wear gloves over my hands when shading because well...but I didn’t realise how useful a tissue could be

It's nice when you find something that works by accident, another tool for the tool box.

Good job, the picture's incredible! Lovely line work. Shading is very nice.

Blending is a really good technique but it's always good to use it sparingly, in my opinion. It's really effective for evening out tones and hiding some of the messy graphite lines, but you don't want to make work look smudged and messy.

I use a tissue to blend once I'm finished to neaten up, I've read it's best not to use fingers cus you can get oil on the page.

Good point. I agree.

Yeah, it is a good tool to add, but now I need to get sone decent erasers, so I can white out some bits better

*** Sponsored post ***

I did get a Derwent battery powered eraser which has been working really well, pretty cheap on Amazon so I'd recommend one!
