Putting more practice into sharpening my ZBrush Skills, I did some exercises, involving the creation of a barrel and of the rocky walls I posted earlier. Taking the process from blocking in Maya, to sculpting in ZBrush, to finally using Substance Designer and Photoshop for the texturing process.

And thanks Anrelia, I hope so too :D

Wow I'm like seriously impressed. I am always impressed with 3D stuff but you're really talented. I'm not real big on guns, personal preference, but I do love how realistic you made the gun look. I almost reached out for it but then stopped myself.

Although I still have my website at VascoGDM, I have come across a website for inspiration called Artstation.

On here, I am able to post my models in a 3D Viewer, so you can rotate, zoom in, see the model from all directions. My guns and walls and barrels are all on there Artstation Profile.

Also, here is a new gun I have been able to texture and render.

After how nice I made the STG44 gun look, I've gone back to some of my old work to improve it.

First up was the barrel. It's the same model, but with a newer better texture. Use the 3D viewer in the link below to rotate the model and zoom into wherever you want.

Next was the Wall with a Doorway. Again the 3D Viewer in the link below.

Also the 3D Viewer for the STG44 gun is at this link below

Next up, I will be improving the 3Arched wall and the L1A1 gun I made.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments.

Angelic Neko Thank you that would be brilliant. I need to get some proper work doing what I love. Be interested to find out more.

Shido I actually started with 3DS Max before learning Maya. So I can use both, but I do prefer Maya and its the one most studios use these days. I also use a number of other software for sculpting and texturing :D

Wonderful work on the barrel but there are a lot of white specs, not quite sure what to think about that.

Your arched doorway wall is stunning, it looks very realistic, especially in the 3D Viewer. I like the the stone colors, the lichen growning on the bottom half of the wall and the greenery in the cracks and crevasses. THanks for sharing!

Expendable Thanks for noticing that. I think the specularity may have a few artifacts, will have to lower the intensity in those spots with a soft brush

A break from 3D work, havent had much time lately to get more done. In the mean time, been doing some photoshop work instead

From this one image

Bending Space and Abstract Green Flash are my favorite. The bands of color with their unusual texture can't help but draw the eye!

The Abstract Green Flash is darker but with the subtle shades of clouds and the stars, you can't help but be drawn in!

Thanks for sharing!

Going over some old work again, I have decided to remodel my L1A1 with more accurate detail. Instead of relying on just images, I watched several videos on youtube of people taking the gun apart. Now I know the gun inside out, I can model it to be animator ready, if needed, and also feel more realistic. Can't wait to do the texturing, but will have to leave that till I get back home from my Holiday. Only had time to texture the Magazine Cartridge.

The magazine is like looking at a photo of the real thing. At the top it looks a little rusty, bits of paint are gone - looks very old and well-used. Excellent work!
