Slowly working on putting together an actual transforming Gambol Shroud ready for my cosplay in December.

And attached my progress so far, currently giving at a white base coat before painting black and doing further assembly (since the tutorial leaves the cardboard unpainted which won't work for the actual cosplay)

Ooo that looks neat. Do keep the updates coming, I might want to print one if it works well.

Just gave it a coat of black spray paint, when it's dried enough for me to handle it safely without removing any of the paint I'll post another photo.

So far it looks good enough with just a single coat.

Here's how it looked about 6 hours ago before I started putting it together.

Still have the sheath to start work on as well as cutting out a few extra bits to finish the main part.

Latest update:

Main part of the assembly completed just a little extra painting to be done on it along with finding a way to keep the 'blade' upright so it doesn't fall at the slightest movement.

Then the sheath to put together and paint.

Con crunch is setting in as even though I don't need it for another month I technically only have 8 full days left to finish it.

That looks so cool! I am always amazed at what cosplayers create honestly
