Cosplay makeup effects for scars

I'm helping my son create a cosplay, and we think we may need to create some facial scars.

Can anybody recommend some good products and/or tutorial videos?

My boy is Cosplaying as Eskel from The Witcher Game Series. Until we get the scars sorted out he is going as early Eskel.

We have some yellow contacts to add in, but we didn't use them for this dress rehearsal

I was sort of hoping that somebody would come back with a rec from their own experience.

I have had a look at the resources thread and watched some of the tutorial videos there, but want more.

BTW, a few of the links don't work anymore. The thread could do with an overhaul.

Thanks fir letting us know I'll be doing a revamp cleaning threads abd such. Looks good by the way. I've been watching the Witcher series.
