Ok lets get the disclaimer out of the way I'm no artist. I use the help of a generator to make what I want via commands if there isn't an option I want I go into gimp and make it an option from there. Example the generator did not have this hair so I did it But I don't got confidence so I figured best place to ask options anyway here's 1st indecision
or Its a battler sprite think light magic spell caster. Its a transformation mid battle when conditions are met. Closest explanation Would be Ar Tonelico if anyone has a cue what that is

Out of curiosity, what do you use as an editor for your portrait cut-ins?
The colors are picked very well, so I was just wondering if it was you picking the colors yourself in like Photoshop or more of you picking the colors yourself in the RPG Maker software. Either way, the hair color variety looks good, which is generally important for things in an anime fashion. In anime, the easiest ways to tell characters apart are things like hair color and outfits. With the portrait slices, you have to refer to the basic shapes of them which might be more similar for some characters and hair/eye color. For example, the girl with the heterochromia really pops because she's got one eye that's a stark contrast from another.
