Yeah that was a complete accident.

This wasn't an accident, but nor does it have a point.

So I tried my best to make something like Ioreth's backgrounds and omg it's so difficult. Working with shapes and brushes is not my thing. I halfway gave up and cheated by using a filtered image for the background texture. This is probably the limit of what I can do in this style right now.
It still turned out really cute, but Ioreth could have done this particular sig a lot better.

I decided to stop by and peek at your designs/artwork. I like it a lot! :) The foxie on the bike is actually super cool. :) I think you do really well with the reds, blacks and darker colours or integrating it with titanium white. However, I also like the Angel Of Slaughter design. You know how to choose colours that compliment each other well. So keep at it and looking forward to your next designs.

*can't choose an avy*

"fuck it I'll just do all of them"

lol yeah it's a 30 second delay as I wanted it kinda random without being too noticeable.

Ioreth is better at color at me, too, yeah, though I think I do alright. This one was tougher for me in terms of color because it balances muted brown and green with much brighter colors, which seems weird to do at the outset and makes it more difficult.
I was looking at a lot of Beex's sigs for examples and the hardest part about them is just all the shapes in the backgrounds. I'm pretty sure that's all by hand, which is doable with a lot of practice with those types of brushes, but that's not something I do...ever, really.

Source materials here. Couldn't find any of the original artists.

this is great!

the composition of the scattered feel and the semi-less chaotic elements surrounding the character really work well together

i like the quote too, where's that from, as i am currently too lazy to google and it's more interactive thread-wise if i ask you :P
