The top one is so stark, with that streak of red for contrast - I love it, it's very effective!

Your bottom one, I dunno about the brown. I like how its more natural colors, so very warm against what could be a broken wall.

if you can make it subtle enough not to draw focus away from the right side of the background, it'd work perfectly
