Like Queen sang on the soundtrack to the original Highlander back in the mid 80s "Who wants to live forever?"

Just thought I'd do a mid-afternoon poll.

"He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!" (Michael Palin in Monty Python's "Life of Brian")
"I am speaking UK English in a Sheffield accent!" (Me most of the time I'm on the landline or mobile)

Would I if I could?

Like Riker from Star Trek Generations, I plan to.

If I could return to a younger me, maybe, but to live on just getting older and older without the ones that I love and cherish around me, that really would be a curse.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

Nope! I feel like the whole world is doing a downward spiral and I just would not want to live through that/see what eventual catastrophes we, as the human race, put ourselves in

Might sound a bit maudlin, but my Parents are both 70+, Mum will be 75 in May, Dad was 75 last October, I'm 48 in April, once they're gone, I'll have to go into full time residential care, I'd rather not be alive than that.

Lol, as a Star Trek fan, I know that "First Contact", which lead to the creation of the Federation, didn't happen for about another 39 years in the storyline of the "First Contact" movie itself.

That's 2063, by which time I'll either be brown bread (dead) or too old to care.
