What I don't get, these signals we have sent out are all effectively just going to be alien "wow" signals. What the articles don't say is that receiving antenna have to be pointing directly at the signal and constantly monitoring for the signal to make any sense.
Tl;Dr aliens would have needed their satellite dishes pointed directly at us constantly for no reason or else they would've missed the signal completely.
