I've been rejected at least twice in the last month! I wouldn't mind but it's always when I declare my disabilities, which is supposed to be illegal under the Equality Act.

I've been rejected at least twice in the last month! I wouldn't mind but it's always when I declare my disabilities, which is supposed to be illegal under the Equality Act.

I'm not sure if that applies to actually getting accepted into a job but if you don't get an interview then yeah it is illegal. If you are disabled you basically get guaranteed an interview

I basically got rejected because they can't be bothered training me up on one thing even though they will accept someone "who can learn quickly" (the manager didn't say that but as soon as she said the cafe gets busy I knew that's what she meant)

Another thing is, they keep saying "reasonable adjustments" are a legal requirement under the EA, but what's deemed "reasonable" is open to interpretation at the employer's discretion so it doesn't always work for the better.

The fact that due to having to get back in time to have lunch before the support guy left, we had to come back from the Odeon in a Taxi, and I was 25p short to pay the full fare, and even then I had to get out at the bottom of my road and walk up, which wasn't so bad as it got me some extra steps on my Fitbit.

I wouldn't mind but they're pedantic about leaving bang on 14.30 at weekends, yet the usual weekend kid's usually at least 10 minutes late! Particularly on a Sunday when the Trams aren't as regular.
