The knights had been casting over and over for days on end. Even with the Wraith gone, the remaining monsters proved difficult to find and kill. The room was still too dangerous to enter, and the Knights were too valuable to lose.

The Cleric was growing concerned. He had started rotating the Knights in shifts, so that they could eat and sleep, but this meant that the overall casting speed diminished. He had to come up with a way to make the casting less random.

As he pondered his predicament, one of his Commanders brought the news that another Ghost had been defeated. As he absorbed the news, he realised that this might be an opportunity. He rifled through the stack of reports detailing casts and results. Yes! They had now defeated two ghosts. The blanketing power of the undead should be getting a lot weaker, with mainly less intelligent monsters remaining. He hurriedly called his Commanders.

"You are the only members of this Force that have the "Detect Enemy" skill. Up until now you have not been able to use it at-all, but I believe that it may now be able to function, if only crudely. I want each of you to focus on a quarter of the room. You probably won't be able to pinpoint the targets, but you may be able tell which parts of the room are more densely populated"

Filled with fresh hope, the Commanders went off to their places and started to pray. It was hard work, like walking through deep snow, but slowly they began to feel the presences of their enemies.

The Commanders reports went as follows.

White - No presences detected. (No monsters)
Blue - Weak presences detected. (Only 2 monsters)
Red - Very weak presences detected. (Only 1 monster)
Green - Medium strength presences detected. (At least 3 monsters)

Using this information, you have until 22.00 Wednesday to complete your next cast and remember that there is a monster that has already been hit, but NOT killed still on the grid.

The Commanders continued trying to locate the enemy, and slowly more information emerged.
They were able to tell the Cleric that there were 2 wounded monsters and 4 untouched monsters still in the room.
