So I just thought I'd use this thread to declare my love for the great beyond! The final frontier! Also known as the universe! Does anyone know any cool facts about space?

Mine is that there are more galaxies in the universe than grains of sand on the Earth. When I heard that, my mind blew a gasket trying to think of how big that must be!

So now I hand it over to you fine people!

A mere theory that is, but as far as we know that is true. Most of what we know about space are theories and not absolute known truths.

A good number of dwarf planets are now considered part of our solar system. Pluto is no longer the smallest planet. The others use to be deemed to small to be considered a planet but they've changed their perspective on this.

Really? So there are objects smaller than Pluto that are almost spherical in nature hat have been shaped by gravity? That's crazy! Is Ceres one of these reclassified dwarf planets?
