Thanks for the dissertation.

Jokes aside, that was helpful. I did know that most ice creams contain eggs, with the exception of Philadelphia-style ice cream, which simply uses more milk fat and hence doesn't require making a proper custard, and eggless ice cream, which is evidently an attempt to make traditional ice cream without egg by making a jello-style pudding thickened with corn starch and converting that.

The only thing I really didn't know was how frozen custard worked into the mix. Apparently it's just going to be richer than regular ice cream by merit of additional milk fat. I imagine the eggs and additional milk fat allow it to almost whip as it converts, probably resulting in a smooth texture.

Color me interested.

I never bothered looking into it that deeply.

Such a small difference to make something that unpalatable. All I know is I find frozen custard to be one of the worst tasting things I have ever had.
