For a similar reason, I wouldn't be able to write quality literature in English without a lot (A LOT) of effort.
understandable.

But is it something you're interested in?

Not necessarily literature but mastering English?

It's difficult to say. I'm not like a huge English language nerd or anything like that.

But I'd like to GM in English. I think it'd be fun.

I can say honestly that I'm not particularly interested in linguistics.

However, word etymology is interesting to me.

Oh, that's also very interesting!

E.g. I like to find cognates between Polish and English (they're both in the indo-european family of languages).

(Most languages of Europe belong to the indo-european family (besides Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian, Basque (and some others)), and also languages like Iranian and some languages from India).

The numbers are so similar in all indo-european languages!

And also the traditional pagan religions were very similar.

@Jas

Do you have some interesting examples from etymology?

None of the top of my head. But when I learn a new word (English or otherwise) I'll look up the roots.

It often can be pretty interesting, seeing how common words are built from seemingly disparate roots.

Like I said, I can't come up with an example, though.
