Yeah, let's not do body modification, because of the reason you mentioned.

Just simply sex swap with the same genders. I think this would generate some fun and it wouldn't be easy to role-play.

E.g. you'd need to account for strength differences in the opposite way.

Yeah, but I've pretty roleplayed as males and females a lot and interacting with each other. Not that it was easy. Experience helps.

Easier: assuming your gender is typical, you can just use your own gender, you already know that pretty well
Harder: but you always need to think you have a different body

That's true, but it's not something I think about much any more. Perhaps I am, it's just second nature now. But I suppose I leave the sex attraction out of it, normally. So maybe I'm just ignoring it.

Yeah, the setting is a typical gender reversal. The fun part is that one plays according to one's gender, not sex.

So males play masculine females and vice-versa.

Usually it's the other way around in this setting (males playing feminine males and vice versa).

It was fun to present this country and how the character's gender roles were reversed. But was typical and easy because I just reversed stereo typical roles. So most of the characters really had no depth. I put more depth into the princess and prince than any other characters in the country. I put some into the Queen too.

The Prince spent his time in the Library and was a scholar but he was shy and really just wanted to read his books. The characters had to take his book away for him to speak to them and he initially just wined about it.

It also turned out that he was clueless despite being such a devote reader and scholar. Pretty much all the information he gave to characters confidently turned out to be incorrect. Some of it was right though.

That was by design his character was meant to be more of a dreamer and lack any real experience because the outdoors scares him, see he's a coward that hides in his books.

I just thought the Prince was an idiot savant and a loser. But I guess that's the same thing in a way.

Anyways, I suggest we take this to something more constructive for now and leave this thread to continue on for a later date.

But the reading pulls you in, when it is well written and a great story.

I finished the first book. So I plan on taking a break from reading before a start the 2nd book.

I suppose I should count myself lucky in a good and bad way because there is only a 2nd book. Supposedly there will be a third and fourth book though.

The books is full of fighting. I mean there's other stuff going on, but this book is written like the characters are sparring back and forth. I'm being sidetrack as a result because I want to find out how the spar goes.

I didn't read all night and I didn't even read the novel I just bought.

I read another that just came out, but I can't talk about it. Too many spoilers will be given away. I might reread it as it was quite enjoyable.
