Just gotta do what they've done in Australia of you wanna curb smoking. Tax the everliving shit out of it. Pack of darts in Australia is almost $30 now.

That's what we have been. I think Bush put a new tax on tobacco products and then I know Obama did (as well?)

You can still get a packet of cigarettes here for like 5 bucks.

That's barely a deterrent, that's how much soda costs in Australia.

It's not as big of an issue in the US because of how the healthcare system works here.

In Australia it was important to get people to quit smoking because it drove up the cost of health care, which is subsidized by the government. So losing tax money on tobacco by excessively driving up the cost wasn't a huge issue because they were saving that tax money on lower health care costs.
