I watched both Sailor Moon and DBZ growing up but secretly liked Sailor Moon better. This explains things.

Put the TVs front to back. Sailor Moon in front but on mute, DBZ behind it with the volume all the way up.
See if they sync up.

Just a note: animators in anime often reuse similar moves or scenes. People just don't always notice because there's a billion anime.
