Technically there is one other thing I can suggest. Use a work light, or layered lighting.

A bright overhead light that shines toward the screen. If it's bright enough and not directly shining on the screen, you may not notice the flickering issue any longer

This is essentially why offices in businesses are kept nice and bright.

That makes sense. The laptop I’m using sounds about the same as her work laptop (it can become a tablet too?)
And it does the same thing. Even at full brightness (when I do have it up that high)
