I know some youtubers who enjoy it.
They were the ones who went there without having any illusions.
So they know they'll never "be Japanese". Gaijins are treated differently there. In some aspects worse, but in some aspects better.
There is some discrimination (mostly not the direct one nowadays), but on the other hand gaijins don't need to follow the strict Japanese code of behaviour, so they always have an excuse.

Mad low property costs and as much Mexican food as you can eat.
Plus I hear you get a gun with each bottle of whiskey.
