i know a few nurses who don't get to pick their schedules and working around that and children is tough for them

Well I chose to work in a doctors office not a hospital cause I hate working weekends. Other than that I don't get to choose my schedule, I work really long shifts and never know when I'll be out of works makes seeing the little one during the week really hard, which is why the weekends off are nice.

My doctor won't turn away people, so people walk in during the day and we HAVE to see them. Hence why I'm scheduled 8-5 daily and I actually work 6:30-7/8.
