you should have an animation tool and the ability to break up the images into separate ones

modify each still image with where the hat should be.

change the frame timing on the hats to match the other still image.

well i know my way around the animation bits, i just don't know how to keep the hat level/flowing with the movement like you did with the werewolf

yeah, you could probably 3d animate something faster than you could a gif

oh yeah you can it's fast and pretty easy, i was shocked how easy it was to 3d animate an image

if you have source material, gifs are easy peasy though, just time consuming

that's what most of it is.

well, to be fair, it's the same in professional drawing

sketches you can just do whatever, but when you're actually learning to draw they teach you to draw from shapes or forms
