Re: everybody else is doing it OR lolin talks to himself
They are both made by Microsoft.
However, how the language is written is different. VBA takes a lot more lines of code to do the same thing C# can. C# is based on C but exclusively for Microsoft applications. C# is VBA’s replacement for .Net applications. It’s more versatile than VBA is. However VBA is still the language used in windows etc. The applications have their own. To write C# you need Microsoft studio which costs a good amount.
C#, however, can tie in VBA and other code together so they can work in conjunction.

You may be able to get a good deal on visual studio through your school.
Re: everybody else is doing it OR lolin talks to himself
I got it free.
Re: everybody else is doing it OR lolin talks to himself
I've gotten a free version, however, it is limited. What I mean is any code you write is owned by Microsoft. It's part of the agreement for gaining it as a free application. If I want to be able publish or market it, I need to purchase a different license.Jas wrote:I got it free.
Doesn't really work as a solution to write programs for my work.
