I was just going through some old messages from people I knew online very old messages some even 15 years
and it just hot me really hard , the people who were pat of my daily life once are nowhere to be found , are they alive, are they happy? where are they? is life treating them good?

so many question no answers only a void

Yea , I have owned 3 forums and 2 of them very famous
animescoiety.net
animebanter.com
were very active
especially animesociety had 50K registered members and about 10k daily visits now only one or 4 of those thousands still in my contact all gone
same is the story of animebanter

I was just talking to one my friends from another forums the two of us is keeping a dead forum alive , currently I am admin it was than when it hit me what if she disappears as well and then I went on to read old messages , sadly my own forums are gone so I have only some saved messages

first facebook and than discord it killed the forums now we dont have closely knit global communities that shared happiness, sadness normal everyday moments

I only wish they all are doing OK
I love here in AL and even through my busy schedule I still visit more often and I wish that these forums stays and the people I have come to know here remain and remain

We will do our best to keep these boards alive and well for as long as possible.

When I look at the traffic, I see that there are often "old-time" members dropping in and lurking for a while, and then disappearing. I just wish they would just drop a message every now and then.

As for old contacts, just think what it is like for me. Decades of people who have touched my life, left a mark, and then faded away without a trace. 7 years of school. 3 years of University. 4 careers over 40 years. "Friends." Family. All just whispers on the wind.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.

and it just hot me really hard ,

:nekothink:

....anyway....

One thing you should remember is that you're wondering what people are doing and how they're getting on, but there'll be people thinking the same about you. Some community you lost touch with its members scattered to the four winds and individuals among them reminiscient about the good old days wondering where that one person got to.

its not just with forums its also with life unfortunately. Like when you left school, probably thought you'd all stay in touch maybe a little group that'd be friends forever. Kinda sad really, but there's no going back. :(
"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."

Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918

So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.
