Well now you do.
They do make soy sauce out of 100% soy but it is more expensive.
They call it Tamari.
You can replace regular soy sauce with it but due to cost, most people do not.
i will have to check this out.
So kikkoman is made with 50% soy? What the hell

Yeah. I don't know their exact recipe, but standard soya is 50/50

Nothing wrong with regular soy sauce.
Honestly it tastes better.
But I have to use tamari soya and so I have to make all my Asian cuisine at home.
I'm p good at text mex but shit at Asian, turns out.
So I don't eat it a lot.

Yeah 50/50 is a good combo of wheat and soy.
Too much one way or the other isn't as good.
Especially ones with more wheat and less soy. Those are really gross. They just taste like raw liquid wheat in a bottle.
Still gotta be careful with tamari though because not all brands are wheat free.

I’m actually really curious as to how it tastes compared to kikkoman
What brand do you get?

I San-J makes one that's pretty okay. And it's a known quantity for me at this point.
