well, when people state that they're trans mtf, it usually comes loaded with a bunch of other misc assumptions
examples being that i want to cut my penis off, that i'll get offended or upset if called anything but she/her, that i'm not okay with the word "trap" and think it's a slur, that i'm politically left-leaning, and a bunch more so i'll clarify my position on a few things
i don't want to cut my penis off, while i feel more comfortable in a female presenting body and voice, i don't believe the technology is quite there yet for me to feel happy replacing my natural born genitalia
it's personally more validating for me if people call me she/her out of their own volition rather than subjecting them to call me by female pronouns regardless, online i don't really care because cis people get misgendered online all the time and if people want to call me he/him then they're free to, i'm confident enough in myself that it doesn't bother me
i'm not personally offended by the word "trap", i know a lot of trans people are but i see it as a compliment
i'm a libertarian centrist
i'm my own person with my own ideas and opinions, people tend to forget that when i say i'm trans, that's why i go by girl (male) instead

I will definitely not use it toward you. In general I don't use this word (I maybe used it once or twice in my life, if I remember correctly) and it's not a part of my normal vocabulary, but I won't promise I'll never use it, because there might be a situation that this word describes perfectly (actually tricking people into sex). But I definitely won't use it in a derogatory way (unless someone deserves it of course). I only insult people who deserve it and it happens very rarely, mostly when someone hurts me personally.
I might also use it when someone used it before me in a discussion and I want to refer to that usage. I will also use it when discussing the word itself, not using it. (And maybe in other rare situations.) But these are exceptions.
