It was basically Arya's arch nemesis.

Sounds like quite a reasonable pizza. Would eat.

MoV what is your favorite pepper in terms of flavor?

I like poblanos.

I don't like the taste of jalapeños very much which sucks because of how common they are.

Jalapenos are much better when they're smoked/dried. Chipotles are one of my favourite flavours. It also depends on what I'm wanting out of my peppers, if I'm going for just a kick in the mouth I'll normally step it up and go for habaneros or something, I'll only look at something hotter than habaneros if all I want to do is feel like I'm dying the entire time I'm eating.

Pobalanos are great for sauces, but as a topping I prefer banana peppers.

Okay nah I'm about to go cooking nerd and that never ends well. I saw a post earlier about someone making their own hot sauce and now I wanna do that as well so... I've had peppers on my brain today hahahaha

Matches really do work best.

Agree on chipotles, that's basically the only form I like jalapeños in.

Don't really care for banana peppers.

The hatch/Anaheim/New Mexico cultivar variants are great.

I rarely bother with high heat stuff because I'm kind of an outlier with my feelings on peppers because I only care about their flavor, I don't give two shits about spicy food because spicy isn't a flavor and more spice actually dulls flavor due to the way capsaicin works, so high heat peppers in general don't impress me in cooking. Some people also like spicy food because of the endorphins but I don't really get that rush so again it's no real incentive for me. Just basically dulled sensation of taste for no benefit.

Plus soda tastes terrible with spicy food and I need my soda like Arya needs her coffee.

That's fair, I know spice can be very divisive and I agree that high spice will overshadow every other flavour, which is why I only do it when that's the flavour I'm craving. Habaneros are about the top of what I can manage heat wise while still being able to taste the underlying flavours.

Anaheim is fantastic, a good balance of sweet pepper flavour with a nice punchy bit of spice, but not too much, but I haven't used them much. Our pepper varieties in Australia were very limited, so I'm still groping my way around trying to figure out where it all sits for me. Its a real shame too cuz i love peppers u.u

Agree on the soda being awful with spicy food too, the carbonation just makes the spice hurt more and the spice make a the soda into flavorless pain juice.
