that idea kind of terrifies me

but also sounds like an easy way to blame my poor choices on not me, if I don't have free will and all

lol yes

if we find out we don't have free will and are the sum of instinct, experiences, nurture, and nature, then we would in effect not be able to be blamed for any of the things that happen in our lives

maybe that's just me not wanting to own up to things in my life

but to be fair, to some degree, genetics are destiny

To an extent. But outside forces can compel.
"Every position must be held to the last man: there must be no retirement. With our backs to the wall and believing in the justice of our cause, each one of us must fight on to the end."

Earl Douglas Haig, Order to the British Army, 12 April 1918

So death, the most terrifying of ills, is nothing to us, since so long as we exist, death is not with us; but when death comes, then we do not exist. It does not then concern either the living or the dead, since the former it is not, and the latter are no more.

It's not like it makes any real difference either way.

Any new pinball game is intriguing regardless of whether it's real pinball recreations, digital original tables, or a cross-genre game like Yoku's or Rollers of the Realm.

Overall it's a pretty good time to be a fan of videe pinball other than the unfortunate fact that the classic Williams and Bally tables will no longer be available to new players in The Pinball Arcade after the 29th. I considered making a VG thread about it but ain't no one else on AL gives a damn about pinball.
