Are Supermarket flowers more economical than ones bought from a proper flower shop?

Above.

I enquired in a local Interflora shop the other week, as it was Mum and Dad's 52nd Anniversary last Monday, they wanted £40 to send flowers from the shop in Hillsborough to my Parents in Stannington.

As much as I love them, Dad in particular would've done his nut if I'd spent 40 quid on flowers.

I know you are aware of Google, but have you tried looking online? I have only ever given flowers by hand, so don't know how much delivery goes for these days.

M&S do post-able cream tea packs, and you can specify the date of delivery. That could be a reasonable alternative to flowers.
