Google has failed me, none of the software I found while searching for free stuff's actually free.
Any free simple 3D modelling software other than Blender? Which works on Ubuntu Linux?

Haven't heard of anything decent for free. Theres some 3D CAD stuff, but those aren't great for traditional 3D modeling... just... CAD stuff... For example BriscCAD, nanoCAD or FreeCAD.
Why don't you like Blender? Its free, open source, works on linux, has mountains of tutorials and resources, great documentation...
