Cancel Apple Pay without an Iphone?

Post by Rich-Allen1976 » 16 Mar 2024, 14:50

Above.

I've had a letter from the Bank (Virgin Money) saying Apple Pay is ready to use on my spending money Bank card, however I don't recall signing up for it because the only Apple service I previously used to was Apple TV+ which I signed up for last year purely for classic Fraggle Rock episodes, and I cancelled the subscription circa the beginning of last week.

I have Googled the issue, and the Apple website tells me I need an Iphone to use Itunes, which I do not currently have (Dad uses an Iphone but if I used my own account on it, my Brother would have a heart attack because he thinks everything I do online is dodgy)

Can anyone help? As mentioned I have used Google to no avail.

And Apple is an American company so they have Iphones in the US.

Are you sure it just isn't saying you can use Apple Pay? Apple pay is basically just a electronic wallet you can't really sign up for it I don't believe. However, I don't have an Apple/Mac tech.

I'm with Mel on this one. Re-read the letter, as I think it is telling you that you can now use Apple Pay if you an Apple device user. If you don't use an Apple device, you can't, but you might be able to use Google pay on your Android phone if you want to set it up.
