Liam Connor was being severely bullied at school to an extent he considered topping himself as the ONLY way to stop it! Sadly this happens all too often in real life, as the majority of school chiefs are so scared of losing their OFSTED ratings they won't even admit bullying's a "thing" in "their" school, despite evidence to the contrary in the majority of schools.
Particularly of the less physically and academically able.
The only difference for me was that in my day, the Internet as we know it hadn't been invented yet but the bullying I experienced as a disabled "special needs" person was shocking.
I applaud the writers on Corrie for bringing this important issue to the public's attention.
Thoughts?
