Is "Cryptocurrency" a scam?

Post by Rich-Allen1976 » 26 Nov 2023, 19:21

Above.

I've been doing a "job" online and on WhatsApp with Selfridges since yesterday, I've completed various "tasks" on the Selfridges website on my and my referrer's accounts, and she says if I download a crypto app, OKX, and verify my account on it (free), I'll get paid.

Excuse my cynicism but my Internet security Guru Brother's taught me that anything that looks even remotely NOT legit, more often than not, isn't.

Fortunately, if it does turn out to be suss, I haven't spent any money (unlike that Oriflame UK thing the week before last which cost me £20 to find out it was a scam!)

Thoughts?

"He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy!" (Michael Palin in Monty Python's "Life of Brian")
"I am speaking UK English in a Sheffield accent!" (Me most of the time I'm on the landline or mobile)

It certainly sounds suss to me. I can't imagine that a big company like Selfridges would say that you don't get paid unless you download a crypto app. If it was through INDEED, get your advisor to double check it tomorrow.
To those just starting on the journey of life I say...
Bang your own drum. Walk your own path. Live wildly. Love fiercely.
As you near the end, look back with no regrets.
