I ordered a pair of trousers from Marks' yesterday, which I'll collect later, I tried them on after exchanging a pair I bought last week where the legs were too long at 33 inches, and the waistline was too small at 36 inches.

I've managed to order a 38 inch waistline and 29 inch leg length, and having tried them on before I bought them, even the 29 inch legs are a bit long! I can't help being small for my age!

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yebbut when I've just paid £20 for the trousers, it's a bit much that I've got to pay another £7 to get them altered at that place on Crookes (next door to the Ball pub)

Pro tip. Get yourself measured properly.

You sound that you might be a 38 waist and 30 - 31 leg, just like me, and I've never really had any problem buying trousers. Although I don't buy without trying on. I realise that your circumstances make things difficult, but you really should spend some time trying on different styles from different stores so that you build up a picture of what works and what doesn't.
