Seeing as I refuse on principle to pay more than about 3 and half quid a pint, even at City Centre prices, I almost never go out drinking, in fact the last time I did was in the Ball on Crookes for a TKD Summer do last August, £3.60 in there and most of the pubs on Crookes are frequented by students? Eh?!

How about you guys?

How much I'm prepared to pay depends on many factors.

The drinks available.
How long I expect to be "out"
Is there any Entertainment.
Social aspects - Is it just me & my wife, close family, extended family, colleagues & acquaintances.

The price is more likely to effect how many I buy rather than whether I buy or not...

...and as you have found, to have a fixed ceiling on price will limit your interactions more over time as prices naturally increase.

I think the highest i've paid was £8 each. We were in London at the time. I like the pubs where the drinks for two pints come under £10 which you can find in London you just gotta go searching

My old local was £4.50 for a Guinness. I let it slide because I liked the atmosphere. Even with the lack of ale. Then it seemed to be always shut.

New local does a pint of Worthington for £3.20
